🍞 Carbohydrate Calculator
Diet plans talk in percentages — 45% carbs, 30% carbs — but your plate is measured in grams. This calculator bridges the two: it takes your daily calories, applies the carb share, and divides by 4 kcal per gram.
Endurance athletes often run 55–65% carbs, balanced diets sit near 45–55%, and low-carb approaches drop under 30%. The gram number is what you actually track.
How to use this calculator

- Enter your Daily calories in the kcal field.

Frequently asked questions
How does the conversion work?
It multiplies your calories by the carb percentage and divides by 4, because each gram of carbohydrate provides 4 kcal. At 2,500 kcal and 50 percent carbs that is 1,250 divided by 4, or about 313 g.
What carb percentage should I pick?
Balanced diets usually sit at 45 to 55 percent, endurance athletes often run 55 to 65 percent, and low-carb approaches drop below 30 percent. Match the percentage to your training and how you feel, not to a trend.
Does it matter which carbs I eat?
Yes. The gram target is the same, but whole grains, fruit, legumes and vegetables bring fiber and micronutrients that refined carbs lack. Hit the number with mostly whole-food sources.
Can I use this for keto?
Keto is usually defined by a fixed low gram target, often under 50 g a day, rather than a percentage. You can still use this tool by setting the percentage that lands near your gram goal at your calorie level.
