📅 Day Counter
Counting the days to a wedding, a deadline or a visa expiry by hand invites off-by-one errors. Pick the two dates and this counter gives the exact day count using real calendar arithmetic.
Leap years and varying month lengths are handled automatically, so the answer is always the true number of midnights between the dates.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Day Counter compute?
It counts the exact number of midnights between two calendar dates, shown as days and as weeks plus leftover days. Leap years and varying month lengths are handled automatically.
Is the count inclusive or exclusive?
It is the absolute difference in days, so consecutive dates count as 1 day. If you need to include both endpoints, add 1 to the result.
Can you give a worked example?
From 1 January 2026 to 29 September 2026 there are 271 days, shown as 38 weeks + 5 days.
Can the end date be before the start date?
Yes. The calculator takes the absolute difference, so the order of the two dates does not matter.
