๐ Auto Loan Calculator
Car dealers love to talk monthly payments because it hides the total price. Work it out yourself first: subtract your down payment and trade-in from the sticker price, then apply the loan rate and term to find the real monthly figure.
Sales tax, registration and dealer fees are not included here, so treat the result as the financing cost and add local fees on top.

Frequently asked questions
What does the auto loan calculator compute?
It subtracts your down payment and trade-in from the vehicle price to get the amount financed, then shows the monthly payment, total interest and total repayment for the financing part of the purchase.
How is the monthly payment calculated?
The financed amount is run through the standard amortization formula with the annual rate divided by twelve and the loan term in months. The calculator checks first that the down payment and trade-in do not already cover the full price.
Can you show a real example?
For a $35,000 car with a $5,000 down payment, no trade-in, 7% interest and a 60-month term, the amount financed is $30,000 and the payment is about $594 a month. Total interest comes to roughly $5,642.
Are taxes and dealer fees included?
No. Sales tax, registration, title and dealer documentation fees are not part of the loan maths, so add your local fees on top of the financed total to see the full purchase cost.
