๐ต Take-Home Pay Calculator
A salary number on an offer letter is never what lands in your bank account. Federal income tax, state income tax and the 7.65% FICA charge for Social Security and Medicare all come off first.
Type your gross salary and your federal and state rates as percentages. The calculator deducts FICA automatically and shows your annual and monthly take-home pay plus your effective tax rate.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly is deducted?
Your federal income tax rate, your state income tax rate, and the fixed 7.65% FICA charge for Social Security and Medicare are all subtracted from gross pay.
What does an example look like?
On a $100,000 salary with an 18% federal rate and a 5% state rate, total deductions are 30.65%, leaving $69,350 a year, or about $5,779 a month.
Does it handle pre-tax deductions?
No. 401(k) contributions, health insurance premiums and similar pre-tax items are not subtracted here, so real take-home will differ if you have them.
Why is the result only an estimate?
Real withholding depends on brackets, filing status, credits and local taxes, while this calculator applies flat rates you supply, which is simpler but less precise.
