How is the years-months-days breakdown calculated?
The calculator subtracts your birthdate from today and borrows days and months using the real calendar, so a month means the actual days of that month, not a 30-day average. That is why the result lines up with how birthdays really fall.
Can you give a worked example?
If you were born on 15 March 1990 and today is 29 September 2026, your age is 36 years, 6 months and 14 days. Total days lived is 13,347, and you were born on a Thursday.
Is the result exact, and what are its limits?
The math is exact to the day for dates the Gregorian calendar covers, and leap years are handled automatically. The birthdate cannot be in the future, and the tool does not show hours, minutes or seconds of age.
