Frequently asked questions
How are the sizes converted?
For men, UK is US minus 0.5, EU is US plus 33, and Japanese is US plus 18. For women, UK is US minus 2, EU is US plus 31, and Japanese is US plus 17.
Can you give a worked example?
A men's US 10 converts to UK 9.5, EU 43 and JP 28. A women's US 8 converts to UK 6, EU 39 and JP 25.
Are these conversions exact?
No. They are the common generic equivalents, but brands cut lasts differently, so two brands' EU 43 can fit differently.
What does the Japanese size mean?
Japanese sizing is the foot length in centimeters, so JP 28 means a 28 cm foot, the most direct measurement of the four systems.
