How is the distance calculated?
End reading minus start reading, in whatever unit your odometer uses. The kilometer figure multiplies miles by 1.60934.
Can you give a worked example?
Starting at 45,210 and ending at 45,535 miles gives a 325 mile trip, which is 523.04 kilometers.
What if the end reading is smaller?
The calculator rejects it and asks you to check the numbers, since distance cannot be negative. This also catches odometer rollover mistakes on older cars.
